HOLDEN -  All lanes of I-12 West near Holden are now open after vehicle recovery operations were performed on an 18-wheeler carrying a load of limes that overturned Tuesday night.

The truck rolled at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and kept at least one lane of the interstate closed for most of Wednesday morning. Crews were forced to remove the cargo of produce from the truck before vehicle operations could begin.

Around 10:20 a.m., LA DOTD announced all lanes of I-12 West were closed as crews were working on righting the big rig. At that time, traffic stretched back three miles due to the closure.

LA DOTD encouraged motorists to take an alternate route to avoid delays.
