Baker firefighters arrived to a home in the 4100 block of Buchanan Street this morning around 7:00a.m. to find light smoke coming from a tree in front of a house that was struck by lightning.
After the tree was stuck in the front yard, the electrical charge traveled inside a house. Firefighters did find electrical damage inside the house after a search of the property.
Vehicles at the house next door were damaged from flying debris. Two windows were also blown out at the same residence.
Debris was scattered across the neighborhood up to 200 feet away.
No one was home at the time of the lightning strike.
