Library board to consider closing the book on Rouzan branch
BATON ROUGE- Thursday, people in charge of the public library system will consider the future of a proposed branch for the Southdowns area, slated to be built in the Rouzan development off Perkins Road.
The six-year-old plan is still not off the ground and the library will consider if the proposed branch should be pulled out of the project.
The library board might consider other areas for the library, including: Perkins Road, near the Rouzan property but not on the proposed grounds, also near the Pennington Biomedical Research Center on the Kenilworth side, the corner of Burbank and Lee, and the corner of Burbank and Ben Hur Drive.
