The FDA says romaine lettuce could be the source of an E.Coli outbreak that has sickened at least 19 people, 3 of those with life-threatening illnesses.
Freshway Foods announced the recall, and said the lettuce was sold in 23 states and the District of Columbia with a "use-by" date of May 12.
Devon Beer, vice president of Freshway Foods, says his company worked with the FDA to trace the contaminated greens to a Yuma, Arizona grower.
