BATON ROUGE - LSU football head coach Les Miles said that he is focused on his 2012 team and not Tyrann Mathieu, but Miles did not specifically say that Mathieu could never return to the Tiger football program.
Miles said that he was rooting for Tyrann in general terms, and that he would help in any way he could, but that his focus continues to remain on this year's squad and that he would not speculate about Mathieu's future.
Mathieu was dismissed from the team last Friday after reportedly failing a third drug test. Mathieu is exploring the possibilities of sitting out the next season before a possible return in 2013 as well as the option of transferring to a lower subdivision school.
