NEW ROADS - The Pointe Coupee Parish School Board has approved a three-year contract that will pay new superintendent Ronald Kevin Lemoine $133,000 annually beginning July 1.
Lemoine will get a $12,000 annual allowance to cover all in-parish travel and reimburse him for any reasonable expenses when traveling more than 60 miles outside the parish.
The 51-year-old Lemoine succeeds Superintendent Linda D'Amico, who retires June 30.
Lemoine is acting superintendent of the special school district with the state Department of Education. He has 15 years' experience as a school administrator at the middle, high school and district levels, as well as 13 years of classroom experience as a teacher.
