BATON ROUGE - The vehicular homicide trial of David Leger will resume today after the judge called for a recess yesterday.

It was recessed because attorneys needed a day to figure out an evidence dispute.

Leger faces five charges of vehicle homicide for the 2011 crash. Prosecutors said he was driving drunk and involved in a road rage-fueled chase with Kelsye Hall when he slammed into an oncoming car, killing five people.

Prosecutors rested their vehicular homicide case against David Leger Wednesday afternoon after calling a dozen witnesses, including the other driver who troopers said was involved in the deadly game of cat and mouse.

We will have more on the trial later today on WBRZ News 2.
