Legendary team from "Earthquake Game" reunites
BATON ROUGE- Former LSU players were together Friday night, 25 years after their legendary performance against Auburn.
There was a reunion for the team that played in the "Earthquake Game" in October 1988. The crowd cheered so loud in Tiger Stadium after LSU scored a touchdown, winning the game, it registered on a seismograph on campus.
Mike Archer was the coach then, and he was also part of the party ahead of the game Saturday.
"Tonight, I saw the seismograph; the actual drawing for the first time," he told WBRZ News 2.
"I had never seen that until tonight, and that was special. I've talked about it for 25 years, now I got to see it," he said.
