BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police plan to close streets at the Mall Of Louisiana off Picardy Avenue next week for the filming of "Left Behind."

According to the Mayor's office, filming will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 3 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. immediately around the mall, as well as Thursday, Sept. 5 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m on the east and westbound Picardy entrance ramp.

The Baton Rouge Film Commission says traffic will be rerouted through Siegen Lane.

The Mayor's office says filming began August 5 and will continue around East Baton Rouge over the next four weeks.

The movie features Oscar winning Nicholas Cage and will include smoke and pyrotechnics on sets.
