LEAP test scores fall, more students fail
The number of public school students in Louisiana that failed the LEAP test is higher this year compared to last year, that's according to results released by the state education department.
73 percent of Louisiana's fourth and eighth graders passed the test.
That's down from 74 percent in 2009.
However, students of all grades who take standardized test made small improvements, with 65 percent of them scoring at "basic" level or above.
That's up from 64 percent a year ago.
