Leaders want to talk about Bayou Manchac flooding
GONZALES- Leaders in Ascension Parish want to discuss flooding concerns with leaders of the two other parishes along Bayou Manchac.
The bayou, a natural drainage canal for Ascension, East Baton Rouge, and Iberville Parishes, is known to flood. Most recently, in January, backwater flooding caused problems in Ascension Parish.
At a drainage meeting in Ascension Parish Monday night, leaders asked that a meeting be set-up among the three parishes with-in the next few months to discuss possible resolutions to the waterflow issues.
