AMITE- The Tangipahoa Parish Council plans to appeal a decision to close two railroad crossings.
The state wants to shutdown Capace Lane and Reverend White Road. Because people have died in train collisions, the crossings are deemed dangerous.
The state says closing the crossings will save lives, but not everyone is happy about those plans.
Tangipahoa Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish are in the top five for the most train-vehicle wrecks.
