BATON ROUGE- City leaders will discuss the planned Costco store during Wednesday's Metro Council meeting.

The wholesaler is planning a location at the intersection of I-12 and Airline Highway.

Two items on the agenda deal with the future of the store. One creates an economic development district in the area where sales taxes could be used to finance projects. The other relates directly to the 150,000 square foot store.

The development district would be called the Dawnadele Economic Development District.

Metro Council meets at 4 p.m. inside City Hall in downtown Baton Rouge.
