Leaders push for final Census push
Baton Rouge leaders joined forces this morning at the CATS terminal on Florida Blvd. to urge any residents who have not been counted in the 2010 census to cooperate with census takers as the final count takes place.
Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden said $400 billion dollars in federal funds are given out each year based on the Census count and he wants East Baton Rouge Parish to get its fair share.
Holden urged anyone who has not been contacted or counted to call the Census 2010 assistance line at 1-866-872-6868.
