Leaders pass the peace pipe, strike road deal in Livingston
LIVINGSTON- Road projects will begin soon since the parish council and president met on common ground and hired a road engineer to tackle the parish road program.
The road rehab project has been on hold since the parish president and council could not agree on the procedure to hire an engineer to oversee the process of updating bad roads in Livingston.
They settled their differences and finally agreed on who will make a list of priority roads. There was clapping and even a small standing ovation when the engineer was hired, leaving tense moments and lots of bickering in past.
After a priority list of roads is finalized, road construction will begin.
