Leaders approve shuffle to fund road repairs
GREENSBURG - Parish leaders approved funding to repave 50 miles of bad roads in St. Helena Tuesday night.
Money will be rededicated from a parish property tax and also pulling money from the solid waste funds for the road project. Doing so should provide about $3 million dollars to repair the roads.
"They're terrible. For the last four years we've been fighting trying to find ways to do this and get some roads repaved," said police juror Thomas Wicker.
