A Thibodaux man is suing the Terrebonne Parish School Board, alleging his son suffered spinal injuries in a November wreck involving two buses at Evergreen Junior High School.
The Daily Comet reports that Gramble Woolens Sr. claims an unknown bus driver struck a bus carrying his son, Gramble Woolens Jr., a 17-year-old student. The lawsuit was filed in Lafourche Parish District Court last month.
The student allegedly suffered flexion extension injuries to his spine as a result of the Nov. 12
wreck.
The lawsuit seeks monetary damages from the Terrebonne Parish School Board to cover the teenager's medical costs stemming from the wreck, as well as physical and mental pain and suffering.
School Board member Clark Bonvillain said he was unaware of the crash or the suit.
