BATON ROUGE - A state committee convened this morning to see how Louisiana schools could be better protected in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut.
Members of the House Select Committee on Homeland Security gathered at 10 a.m. to look over security procedures already in place in the state, and hear more about existing crisis response plans for schools and other educational institutions.
News 2's Rob Krieger is at the committee meeting and will have more on their discussion tonight at 5 and 6.
