Students at public colleges around Louisiana will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets this fall.
Lawmakers have agreed to increase tuition prices up to 5 percent for the upcoming 2010-11 school year.
The tuition hike is estimated to bring in an estimated $31.5 million for the schools next year.
For students on LSU's main campus, the annual tuition increase
will be $262, bringing tuition to $5,495.
Students at UNO will pay $219 more a year, raising tuition to $4,591.
Louisiana Tech University's tuition will rise by $205, to $5,326 a year.
