LIVINGSTON- A state lawmaker is backing plans for a technical college in one of the state's fastest growing parishes.

Sen. Dale Erdey proposes establishing a newly formed campus on the current grounds of the Literacy and Technology Center on Florida Blvd. in Walker.

The school system owns the property and supports the project.  It is estimated to cost about $5 million.
