Lawmaker Credits Hooters for Her Success
A State House member in Tennessee credits Hooters for her success in business and politics. Newly-elected Republican Julia Hurley of Lenior writes in the current issue of Hooters Magazine about her past career in the restaurant chain known for the servers' revealing outfits. She's 29 years old and defeated incumbent Democrat Dennis Ferguson in November after critics tried to make a campaign issue about her past employment. She writes, "If I could make it at Hooters, I could make it anywhere." She also told about her first business failing and how to overcome difficult circumstances.
