Last minute Christmas shopping isn't always a bad thing
BATON ROUGE - Many spent their Christmas Eve doing last minute shopping, but shoppers at the Mall of Louisiana today said they actually planned to cut it this close.
Steven Landry said he does it every year. "You get better deals," said Landry.
According to the National Retail Federation, 25% of shoppers planned to shop on Christmas Eve since Christmas lands on a Sunday this year. Because of that, a lot of retailers are rolling out last minute deals.
Some shoppers are planning to push their late shopping even further. Kolbie Lawrence said he does his shopping the day after Christmas. "Every thing's on sale, and there's not as many people," said Lawrence.
