BATON ROUGE - Today is the last day of school for most students in East Baton Rouge Parish Schools. But for those at Istrouma High, is will also be their last as part of the parish school system.
In April, the state Department of Education announced the school will be taken over this summer by the Recovery School District.
The high school has around 1,000 students including EBR Lab Academy students.
The Louisiana Recovery School District plans to relocate Prescott Middle School students to the campus of Istrouma High School effective this fall.
News 2's Olivia Laborde will have more about Istrouma's last day tonight at 5 p.m.
