Larose loses Krewe of Babylon parade

THIBODAUX, La.- The town of Larose is losing a Mardi Gras parade.
Organizers tell The Daily Comet of Thibodaux that the Krewe of Babylon will not roll through Larose this Carnival season after years of financial problems.
Babylon has been dissolved, according to Ashley Barrios, the most recent president of the krewe's board of directors.
The Larose krewe first rolled in 2002, with membership growing to around 250 by 2009.
