Lange leads LSU baseball to 8-5 win over Kansas
BATON ROUGE - Freshman pitcher Alex Lange was spectacular in his LSU debut, giving up just two hits and striking out seven batters as the Tigers got an 8-5 win over Kansas to get a series win over the Jayhawks.
Lange didn't give up a run in his 5 innings, and the Tigers offense unloaded in the bottom of that frame.
Already leading 1-0 in the 5th, Connor Hale roped a double down the left field line that scored Alex Bregman and Kramer Robertson to improve the lead to 3-0.
The Tigers scored 7 runs in the frame to build an 8-0 lead, and although Kyle Bouman gave up 4 runs over the 6th and 7th innings, the Tigers still won by 3 and improved to 2-0 on the season.
