BATON ROUGE- The Baton Rouge Area Foundation has named its finalists for landscape architects to lead the Baton Rouge Lakes restoration project.
Each of the finalists is partnering with one or more local firms and will present their credentials at a public meeting on June 30 in the Manship Theatre.
The team, led by a landscape architect, has been charged with crafting a new master plan for restoring and enhancing the lakes and their surroundings in balance with long-term preservation of the natural system.
Fifteen applications were submitted.
The finalists are Design Workshop, EDSA, SWA Group in association with Jeffery Carbo Landscape Architects, and Kyle Zick Landscape Architecture.
Master planning costs alone for the project are estimated to cost $750,000.
