Lake Charles man killed
LAKE CHARLES - Authorities say a 35-year-old Lake Charles man has died in a hit-and-run after he was struck while lying in the westbound lane Louisiana Highway 3112.
Louisiana State Police Sgt. James Anderson says in a news release Saturday that Claude William Stuart was hit Saturday just before 2 .a.m.
The news release did not say why Stuart was in the road, but said a toxicology sample was taken for analysis.
Anderson said the accident happened about a mile west of U.S. Highway 90.
