LAFAYETTE - An eerie mishap is haunting people who are looking for showtimes of movies playing at the Grand 16.

The theater was the scene of a mass shooting in July. Two people died and eleven were injured when John Houser opened fire during the premiere of "Train Wreck."

Recently, lighting struck the large sign out front of the theater where showtimes and other movie promotional material is shown on a digital board. The electrical shock prompted the sign to revert to showtimes for the week of the shooting.

A theater official told KATC, the ABC affiliate in Lafayette, the lightning strike caused problems with the sign's operation and repairs should have it back in working order soon.

The theater reopened in November.
