MAURICE, La.- A worker killed in an accident at a natural gas well near Maurice has been identified as a 52-year-old Lafayette man.
The Lafayette Parish sheriff says Clarence Leleaux died when a pipeline ruptured on Thursday. A second worker was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say the rupture occurred while operations were being conducted on the well.
