Lafayette mall evacuated for precaution after bomb threat
LAFAYETTE - The Acadiana Mall in Lafayette was evacuated Saturday afternoon due to a bomb threat.
According to a KATC report, the Lafayette Police and Fire responded to the scene but were unsure if the threat was credible. The mall was evacuated as a precaution.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., authorities gave the all clear and re-opened the mall.
The threat comes on the one year anniversary of a deadly shooting at a Lafayette movie theater.
