Lady Tigers move up in national poll

The LSU women's basketball team moved up two spots to No. 7 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll, following a 92-19 win over Centenary in its season opener.

The top three teams in this week's poll remained the same with Connecticut in first place, followed by Stanford and Ohio State.

Tennessee is the highest-ranked Southeastern Conference team at No. 6 followed by LSU at No. 7.

The Lady Tigers were ranked ninth in the preseason edition of the poll.
