Lady Tigers fall at Vanderbilt, 79-70
NASHVILLE - The Lady Tigers saw their two-game win streak come to a hault as they fell to #24 Vanderbilt 79-70 Sunday afternoon.
The ladies now fall to 3-2 in SEC play.
Danielle Ballard led LSU with 23 points and seven rebounds in the losing effort.
Raigyne Moncrief added nine points off the bench, while Theresa Plaisance turned in her eighth straight 10+ effort: 16 points and seven boards.
Vandy led by as many as 20 points, until LSU came back to get the game within striking distance - however, it was not enough to get their second straight road victory.
LSU hasn't won at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville since the 2004-05 season.
The Lady Tigers return to action Thursday at home against Auburn at 7pm.
