Lady Gaga comes to the aid of her own
Singer Lady Gaga donated $1 million to the Red Cross to aid people affected by Superstorm Sandy and pledged the money on behalf of her parents and sister. She's New York born and says she "would not be the woman or artist I am today" if it wasn't for places like the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn. Sandy made landfall more than a week ago and killed as many as 100. Thousands are still without electricity in New York and New Jersey. The same areas are being battered by a powerful snow storm now.
