CENTRAL - Former state representative John LaBruzzo is known for his annual battles at the Capitol attempting to make drug testing mandatory for people on welfare.
Now LaBruzzo has a new home, but may have to wait a bit befreo getting back into politics.
LaBruzzo and his wife Brandi have moved their family to her hometown of Central so she could take a promotion within her law firm. LaBruzzo lost a recent election to fellow Republican Nick Lorusso after their districts were consolidated due to redistricting.
Current Central Representative Clif Richardson is resigning due to health concerns, but LaBruzzo has not determined if he will run for the office. He admits there may be qualifying issues because of his length of time in the district.
LaBruzzo caused controversy with his welfare proposals. He thinks professionals in the Central area would support his conservative plans.
Richardson's resignation is effective January 1st.
