ALEXANDRIA - Alexandria police have arrested Barbara Hayes for allegedly beating her 11-year-old son and another juvenile.
Witnesses told police that Hayes began hitting her son Sunday night with her fists and a belt because he had been out too late.
Police say Hayes got into an argument with a 16-year-old female who helped walked the boy home.
The girl told police that Hayes began hitting her.
Hayes told police that she whipped her son, but she claimed that the girl had attacked her.
