BATON ROUGE - Louisiana residents could be seeing a big change in traveler ID requirements come January 15.
After that point, a state driver's license will no longer be accepted as a proper form of identification in order to fly.
That means Lousiana travelers will have to show a passport before boarding, according to the federal Real ID Act of 2005.
Although the law will likely be postponed again, travel agents are suggesting anyone scheduled to travel in January make sure they have a current passport.
News 2's Brittany Weiss will have more on what travel agents think about the possible change tonight.
