La. Red Cross volunteers helping in Colorado
COLORADO - Red Cross volunteers from Louisiana are helping victims of flooding in Colorado return to their damaged homes.
Six people were killed and an estimated 18,000 homes were damaged in the flooding that began over the weekend.
Eleven Red Cross volunteers from South Louisiana are in Colorado to lend aid, including Americorps volunteer Jenny Carver. She told News 2 today the scene is both shocking and surreal.
The volunteers are expected to be there for two weeks.
