La. Red Cross volunteers helping after Miss. storm
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Red Cross volunteers from Louisiana arrived in southern Mississippi Monday to help with cleanup and relief efforts after a tornado this weekend.
The seven volunteers took three Emergency Response Vehicles to help provide supplies and feed people affected by severe weather Sunday.
The storms also damaged the Hattiesburg Red Cross office and ERV. No volunteers or staff at that office were hurt.
Gov. Phil Bryant said more than 60 people were hurt by the storm, but nobody died.
