La. man wanted in slaying arrested at Miss. casino
BILOXI, Miss.- A 22-year-old man wanted for a shooting death in Louisiana has been taken into custody at a Biloxi casino.
Police say Dwight Travis Ambo, of Pearl River, La., was arrested early Friday morning in the Dec. 9 death of Sherman Deas.
Biloxi Police Chief John Miller says Ambo and Precious Jolisa Thompson of Slidell were guests of the IP Casino hotel.
Miller says Thompson faces a charge of accessory after the fact of homicide.
After evacuating several other rooms on the floor, Miller says SWAT members surprised the pair.
Ambo and Thompson are being detained at the Harrison County Jail pending extradition to St. Tammany Parish.
