La. inmate confesses to Fla. killing
An inmate at Angola serving life for killing two women has confessed to a 17-year-old killing in Florida.
The Volusia County sheriff says Romalis Gordon confessed to the April 1993 slaying of Christine Lazzaro, of Rochester, N.Y., during her spring break trip to Daytona Beach.
No charges have yet been filed.
Lazzaro was found shot to death on the side of a road in DeBary, Fla.
Deputies say a visit to church service at Angola convinced Gordon to confess.
Gordon is serving two life sentences for the 2006 murder of two women during a robbery at a Louisiana truck stop casino.
