PHILIPPI, W.Va.- U.S. marshals say they caught a fugitive from Louisiana after he jumped into the Tygart River, then realized he couldn't swim.
31-year-old Larry Murry of Labadieville, La., was wanted on a charge of aggravated incest.
A deputy marshal was closing in on him near Philippi on Thursday afternoon when Murry fled.
He eventually jumped into the river, made it about one-third of the way across and then announced, "I can't swim."
He then returned to shore, where State Police arrested him.
Murry is set to be arraigned by a Barbour County magistrate on a fugitive from justice charge.
