BATON ROUGE - Health officials announced today that Louisiana received a major grant to study health issues affecting the state.
Officials at Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge announced this morning the National Institute of Health awarded them a $20 million, 5-year research grant.
They said the money will go to several different institutes in the state to study obesity and chronic diseases.
