LA 30 will be closed for hours due to an 18-wheeler that overturned earlier today.

Louisiana State Police said there is a small leak in the 18-wheeler’s tank containing liquid nitrogen, but it is not a threat to the surrounding area. A crane is en route to up-right the 18-wheeler and move it off the road.

Police said a brown pick-up truck traveling west on LA 30 tried to pass the 18-wheeler and cut the vehicle off. The driver of the 18-wheeler lost control, and the vehicle flipped on its side. The driver sustained minor injuries. Police are still looking for the pick-up truck.
