WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Kristy Davis is a general assignment reporter, who joined WBRZ as an intern in the summer of 2006.  She graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in history.  

Kristy says she enjoys her career because, “Journalism provides the opportunity to get outside, to learn something new everyday, to talk to people, and most of all to listen to people and give them a voice.” 

Before joining WBRZ, Kristy gained experience as an intern with KING TV in Seattle, Wash. and TXCN in Dallas.  She also worked for MTV as a correspondent during the 2004 presidential election, and she served at LSU’s Tiger TV as an anchor and news director.    

Kristy, who is currently a Baton Rouge resident, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and raised in Carrollton, Texas.  When she’s not working, Kristy enjoys jogging, listening to live jazz music, playing the piano, volunteering, and watching the LSU Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys.
