Krewe of Artemis parades
Paradegoers braved cold weather to watch the all-female Krewe of Artemis roll through downtown Baton Rouge Friday night.
This year's theme was "Artemis Remembers Her Childhood". The parade included 17 floats, high school marching bands and dance groups.
Debbie Kleinpeter reigned as Queen Artemis IX with Ronnie Kyle as her king.
The krewe was founded in 2001. Rain has interfered with the parade in three of the eight years, but the temperature was the only problem this year.
