Kenner man killed after being hit, dragged by bus
KENNER - A man was killed by a transit bus in Kenner after it hit and dragged him last night.
According to WGNO-TV, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Reverend Richmond Wilson Drive and Coleman Place. The man was found unresponsive at the scene and later pronounced dead.
The bus driver told police that he heard a scream and got out to check, but couldn't see anything in the poor lighting and drove away It is believe that the man was under the bus at this time and was dragged under the bus for a short distance.
The victim has not been identified. No criminal charges have been filed at the time of this post.
