As the college football coaching carousel continued, Cincinnati's Brian Kelly brushed aside speculation that he could be a candidate for the Notre Dame coaching job.
Kelly, whose No. 5 Bearcats are 11-0 and taking aim at a BCS bowl game, wouldn't talk about the Notre Dame situation on Tuesday, but acknowledged that in-season coaching changes like the one in South Bend make it uncomfortable those who are rumored to be replacements.
Notre Dame fired Charlie Weis earlier this week and Kelly's name has been mentioned as a possible successor along with Florida's Urban Meyer,Oklahoma's Bob Stoops and TCU's Gary Patterson.
