KaBOOM! to build new playground in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE- KaBOOM! Is looking for volunteers to help them build a new playground at the Jewel J. Newman Community Center. The new playground will be fully assembled from scratch in less than eight hours with the help of several community members, local residents, and playground organizers.

A kick-off ceremony will be held at the Jewel J. Newman Community Center at 7 a.m. on May 30th before construction begins. After the playground is completed, a family-friendly ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 3 p.m.

KaBOOM! Is a non-profit organization that wants to provide fun places to play that are within walking distance of every child in America. The Jewel J. Newman Community Center is looking for volunteers to help in the preparation and construction of the new playground.
