WBRZ - Baton Rouge

A juvenile was shot earlier this evening on East Polk Street.

Baton Rouge Police Department said the shooting happened just before 8 p.m. When police arrived, a juvenile male was helping another juvenile male, who was lying in the street with non-life-threatening injuries to both legs. Police said the boys had come into contact with the shooting suspects shortly before the shooting happened. Within minutes of coming into contact with them, a car drove by and fired shots, hitting one of the boys.
