Jury seated in trial for murder of LSU grad students
BATON ROUGE - A jury has been seated in the trial of two men accused of killing a pair of LSU grad students six years ago.
Judge Chip Moore swore the jurors in immediately, and told them to delete any local news apps from their smartphones in addition to admonitions that they avoid news reports about the case.
Casey Gathers and Michael Lewis face murder charges which could send them to prison for life. They're accused of killing the two students at the Edward Gay apartments on the LSU campus.
The trial is scheduled to begin Monday.
